This site is very expensive for what it is, compared to resorts like Sandaya in France.
The pitches had enough space, but roads were very tight for motorhomes. It was busy and quite crammed in in early September.
Staff were excellent, friendly and spoke excellent English. We were grateful that when we lost our key card, the staff later told us they had found it.
Price was extravagant. It was around €75 per night for 2 adults, 1 child and a dog. Electric was €7 per day.
The swimming pool was nothing special. The slide goes into the deep pool, which was a bit deep for me to stand in. There is an 0.8m children's pool. Unfortunately we weren't aware of the rule in Italy that bathing hats are always required. They are sold at the pool for €3 or €2 at Gigante. The playground is much more impressive. There is a noticeboard with times for entertainment at the arena, but nothing easily found online.
The Gigante supermarket at the edge of the campsite- 5 min walk from our pitch - was probably the best thing about the site.
The other end of the site gives access to the lake.
Toilets were decent, and there are waste disposal points at each toilet block. However, because it's quite open aired, that meant the showers were always exposed to the smells from waste disposal. Hot showers is a bit of an exaggeration in the mornings.
The location was handy and there are shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Overall, I was quite underwhelmed by the site for the cost. Everything was decent enough and okay - we would come back. It may just be the location that adds to the price, but I would look elsewhere first. I think €45-50 per night would have been more reasonable.
This is a neat clean site right next to the lake. It can get a bit noisey at weekends. It has a restaurant on site which serves good food, and also pastries and good coffee for breakfast. The pool is small but clean, and you can swim in the …
We had the premium bungalows (+ 2000 €/week). Okay, we knew there was an extra charge for airco, but then we found out there was an extra charge for linen, towels, tennis, etc. Pool was small, beach was not private, small and overcrowed. Animation for kids was zoned out. Not the experienced we hoped for (for a premium price).
I don’t often post reviews, however after the amazing week I’ve just had, felt like I should. Where do I start… amazing beach, great restaurant, great evening entertainment, super location and friendly staff… I could go on. The kids absolutely loved it and we can’t wait to return!
Most facilties closed most of the evening and morning. Unfriendly staff. Overpriced for campers. Lake not very clean at this spot.
Very nice campsite. Pretty big. Pitches are kept incredibly well. Bathroom were clean. You need a swimming cap when in the pool (even the young kids 2yo) which to me seems a little silly but fair enough..
restaurant nice, good food, very busy so i would recommend to book a table.
Good: The location is stunning. Right on the lake. With access to the beach. The rented units (we stayed in a superior cottage) are well equipped and have enough room for a young family of 4. The camping has play area for kids, a restaurant, bar, bathing facilities, etc. Supermarket is right in front and a lot of eateries around. Stresa is 45 min drive away and Milan an hour drive away. All in all great to spend time here.
Bad: While checking out we were told that EUR 30 will be cut from the deposit because sofa was dirty. After following up and asking to see the room, we found out that sofa was fine but the bed linen (its there essentially to protect the mattress) had some chocolate marks. In any case, they finally agreed not to cut EUR 30. It left a bad taste, we wasted 1.5 hours in check-out. It was a perfect holiday just spoilt by the check-out process.
I recommend that you do not make any reservations at this campsite. I had a reservation with them, they canceled my flight and although they tell you something on the phone, then they don't return your money, they lie to you and they don't …
